Britain’s first transgendered mayor

I seldom read a news paper but my attention was brought to this article from the Times Online. Britain will have its first transgendered mayor (Ms Jenny Bailey) and her mayoress (Jennifer Liddle) is also transgendered. It brings a ray of hope for transgendered people living in the UK. Hopefully this is a sign of the times (bad pun intended). Transgendered people might become more accepted in today's society.
