Lubrication

15th, October 2011

Well it has been almost a year since my Sex Reassignment Surgery.  I have had several complications and am still in some pain, but I am winning at last.  A while back I noted that I was lubricating in the clitoral area!  While I was happy to note that it was of little consequence if my vaginal opening was not doing the same.  It was impossible to tell what was happening there due to pain, blood and other discharge associated with the healing process.

The last few days I have been much more comfortable when dilating.  It is still painful, but I have coped much better and that pain has lessened.  I had noted recently that I seemed a little damp at times.  This could be simply more discharge from granulation tissue but also it could be I was self lubricating to some extent.

As an experiment today I dilated without the aid of extra lubrication!  The first stage with the smaller dilator worked well, so I gave it a go with a larger dilator.  Again it worked fairly well but I did not it stuck a little.  The fluid in my vagina lacks the slightly slippy texture that lubricating jelly gives.  It is different to the fluid produced with clitoral stimulation!

I tried again with a slightly larger dilator namely a rigid type ladies vibrator.  This time though I was in trouble for a minute or so.  The darn thing stuck and would not go in or out!  After a few minutes of panic, I did manage to leaver the darn thing out!  Unfazed, I added a tiny quantity of lubricant and tried again.  This worked and despite being tighter than my larger dilator it did not tear me.

So now I know I am definitely self lubricating, but this may need a little help form a lubricating gel.

I am also so happy to have been able to take the slightly larger vibrator. It gives me hope that all will be well very soon! :)

Patches Estrodot

15th, October 2011

Came off estrogen gel today and went onto (HRT) patches! Quite why I need do this before going onto implants is beyond me, specially as they are at a lower does than the estrogen gel!

Sadly as I suspected the patches are refusing to stay stuck to me! I always have this trouble with patch based treatments!! :O(

All Working

At last dilation is getting easier. Still uncomfortable but it is definitely getting easier. I was still granulating a little a few days ago, but the steroid seems to be settling it down.

I was told to make dilating easier I should warm the dilator and also use two fingers to open the entrance before inserting the dilator. Both of these have helped! I wish I had been given this advice when I left hospital, it may have saved a lot of pain!

Taking of pain, I must add that making sure the nails are kept short is a goo idea. I just drew blood!! An internal injury is not what I need right now.

I have also noted today that things are working correctly and I have even started self lubricating I think! :)

Vaginaplasty Going Home

This document is what I should have received prior to going home. However, maybe as I seldom needed to attend a clinic prior to going in for my operation or maybe because I had the cheek to move in the last 4 years, I never got mine.

A friend sent me a copy of hers so please unfortunately she had made her own notes.

It has come to my attention that a friend of mine is now seeking this information so I have posted them here.

After months of being stuck indoors I ventured into the park with  ”S” ! We waited till well after lunch time and i put on some factor 15 sun block and put on a pink floppy hat as the last thing I need right now is a sunstroke and I am quite prone to it.  We sat for about an hour I guess, but it was great to be out.  Since October I have only been out a half a dozen times and that has been to see the doctor, attend a hospital appointment or to get some items from the local shops.

Pictures Here

I have been suffering a sore throat for a few days now and am tired probably due to that strange stuff called fresh air! :)

Warm Welcome

New neighbours moved into a flat on the floor below us today.  They were quickly introduced to life in this block of flats.  Someone set light to some wooden fencing that protects a pedestrian access to the under flats car park.  Chained to it were a couple of push bikes, which explained where the smell of burning rubber was coming from.

It is the 4th or 5th time a fire has been set in the car park since we moved in here just over a year ago!

Breathless

I had a doctors appointment to attend this morning.  The appointment was made to see why I am so sore and also to discuss the nailsel spary that was issued at my last visit.  The spray gave me headaches so I had stopped using it.  The GP said I should continue to use it and that there was no reason for it to give me headaches!  Funny because it does state that as a possible side effect.  Doctor did not seen to like being told that!

The hospital seem to think I may have COPD.  The GP says no.  The nurse dealing with my gender surgery thinks they should be putting me on tread mills and moitoring me.  The GP says it is sinus inflamation which must be brought down using the prescribed naisal spray!!

Back from Charing Cross.. The nurse says I have both internal and external granulation still !! I am to go back on steroid creams to try and stop it or slow it down. Also need a anaesethic appplied to help me dilate !! Need a barrier cream to help stop the soreness and if not any better in a few weeks I should postpone the next operation!!!

Oh and I have to wait till after the postponed operation to start looking at getting my hormone levels right!! It’s been 4 years or more in there hands and never been anywhere near the desired levels! Seriously thinking I’ll go back to self prescription from off shore chemists!
